Description of IBS Intelligence Case Studies: Series One: Trade Services: The Complete Series

6 Case Studies for the price of 4 at only £200 !

The first series, spanning six IBS Intelligence studies, is focused on trade services. The studies are intended to lift the lid off the strategies and infrastructure underpinning the industry's leading exponents.

The studies are based on a series of detailed face-to-face interviews and are intended to reveal:

- The current services of leading players in trade services
- The future plans of these institutions
- The technology and operations that underpin the current and future plans
- Their positioning within the wider market, including their relationship with industry initiatives

The first series, spanning an initial six studies, will be delivered during the course of the year and will focus specifically on trade services. The studies will focus on major worldwide players with an depth look taken first of JP Morgan, to be followed by Citibank.

Subsequent series will focus on other sectors of finance. Trade services was selected as the starting point due to the amount of upheaval in this sector at present. Banks are seeking to reinvent their positions within the global markets, as they battle against disintermediation and the supposed demise of the standard LC. They are seeking to harness new technology to remove the continued inefficiencies; they are trying to reorganise and restructure to improve customer service and reduce costs; and they are seeking to work out whether and how to utilise industry initiatives such as Bolero and Tradecard.

Those who should subscribe to the case studies:

1. Banks seeking to define their own trade services strategies and wanting to understand the workings and thought processes of the lead players.
2. Consultants seeking to understand the issues and advise within this sector.
3. Technology suppliers seeking to align their offerings and strategies with market needs.
