About Dan Myers and Jim Lorenz

Dan Myers, of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, is an international program manager for the Cisco Networking Academy Program. He is responsible for the worldwide implementation of courses sponsored by various computer and network vendors. Prior to joining Cisco, Dan was the curriculum and operations manager for the Sun Microsystems(r) Academic Initiative Program that authorizes educational institutions to offer Solaris System Administration and Java Programming courses. Dan is the subject matter expert for the Sun-sponsored Cisco Networking Academy Program Web-based curriculum for Fundamentals of UNIX. Jim Lorenz, CNE, MCT, CCNA(r), CCAI, is a senior technical writer and curriculum developer for the Cisco Networking Academy Program. He has over 20 years experience in information systems and has held various IT positions in several Fourtune 500 companies, including Allied-Signal, Honeywell, and Motorola. Jim has developed and taught computer and networking courses for both public and private institutions for more than 15 years. He is also the author of the Cisco Networking Academy Program: Lab Companion, Volumes I and II.
